Janelle & Austin wedding in South of France

Sometimes, the wedding industry leads to truly instant professional connections. This was the case for Janelle, whose positive energy shines through on her Instagram account as an American influencer, making her instantly likeable. I was therefore very flattered when she asked me to be her wedding floral designer in the South of France, at her aunt's private estate in Roujan, with her equally lovely husband, Austin.

The advantage of intimate weddings at a family estate, as Janelle and Austin had planned, is that it allows you to truly enjoy your guests and have the budget to indulge yourself without holding back. While the couple had planned a great deal themselves (they arrived from the United States with eight suitcases!), they entrusted me with the floral arrangements for their wedding, the fourth day of celebrations. The bride and groom had invited their guests to a five-day mini-vacation in the South of France, with a different theme each day.

My flowers have decorated the long table for their fourth dinner, in a deconstructed style that I love (and Janelle does too), embellished with garlands of radishes, apricots, kale leaves, artichokes, and small pears, all surrounded by dozens of long candles. The result was both modern and elegant, thanks to the pastel colors of the peonies from the Var region, Italian poppies, and small hydrangeas.

For the ceremony, I brought out my concrete-effect pillars to elevate the arrangements, which were just as deconstructed and modern as the dinner arrangements, and to envelop the bride and groom in flowers from every angle.

For her bridal bouquet, Janelle wanted a modern and minimalist creation, both cascading with the amaranth and featuring original shapes like the anthurium.
